Dr. Vanessa Betancourt received her doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from Arizona School of Health Sciences at A.T. Still University, and her bachelors from Florida State University. Vanessa holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA) and also holds state licensure with the Arizona Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. She is from Quito, Ecuador and is thus bilingual in English and Spanish. She had the opportunity in graduate school to attend a clinical rotation in Ecuador in order to excel in Audiology in Spanish, and is passionate about her annual volunteer trips to Guaymas, Mexico to help the underserved hearing loss population with the Mesa West Rotary Club.

Dr. Betancourt’s audiological interests include electrophysiology, universal newborn hearing screenings, management of hearing loss through traditional and bone-anchored amplification systems, and being able to improve a patient’s quality of life by establishing lasting relationships with her patients.
